SL API: Product Updates

Our SL API team is continually working to streamline the solution, making it more powerful, effective, and easy-to-use. So today we just want to take a moment to let our users know about the powerful updates we’ve rolled out over the past few months, from smarter Facebook methods and intuitive onboarding to new endpoints across Telegram, Instagram, and Foursquare.
Let’s bring you up to speed.
We’ve recently launched a major new Facebook method, Get Connections by Profile, allowing users to gain a broader view of a user's network, even when their friends are hidden.
Combining data from 15 separate operations into a single request, this method pulls in anyone who has interacted with the target profile through likes, comments, reposts, tags, and more. It combs through posts, photos, videos, and comments, and even includes associated data like groups, check-ins, and pages.
What’s more, each connection has a label indicating the nature of the relationship, giving you not just who they’re connected to, but how. A great new feature offering deep, contextual insights at 130 points per request.
We’ve updated our materials in Postman to make getting started and troubleshooting even easier. The Quick Start section now walks you through how to verify your setup and make your first successful request. Plus, Usage of Parameters now clearly explains common parameters and how delayed methods work.
We’ve also added two new sections, providing additional assistance if needed:
An FAQ covering the most commonly asked questions.
Support, so you always have somewhere to turn if you need a hand.
If you’re new to SL API or expanding your integration, this update is well worth checking out.
We’ve also rolled out several new endpoints, with Telegram, Instagram, and Foursquare all getting significant attention. For the full list, check the API Change Log, but here are some highlights:
[/foursquare/user/friends]: Returns the list of friends tied to a profile
On top of everything added, we have also retired certain endpoints due to either functionality considerations or external shifts:
We removed [/telegram/group_admins]. However, the same results can be retrieved through [/telegram/group/members].
Due to changes implemented on the side of the source, we’ve also taken down:
And that wraps up our SL API product updates for this quarter. Keep your eyes peeled for great new updates coming over the rest of the year—we’ll be busying ourselves to make your investigations easier and more productive. Till next time!
